Visitor from Norway

A very good friend of ours recently came to visit us in North Carolina.  Although a relatively short visit of a couple of days, we ended up having a super time.  Here are a few photos from his visit.

Here's the current situation on our land.  As you can
see... cows and their calves.  Three more are ready to
give birth in the next week or so.  Good to see the
land is being put to good use and the farmer who is
using it is a great steward of the land.

The Land

Well, for those of you have known us for awhile...you know the dream! Approx 24 acres on a North Carolina hill...our property is located at the far end/center of this photo taken in April 2007 (20 cleared acres and the rest wooded). We keep discussing the "dream house" over and over. With her artistic talents, Chris is the primary driver on this one, she has multiple drawings and has started to do some of the initial research on things (well, permits, etc). We hope to make further progress on the design, etc in Spring 2008. Wish us luck!
